in WeekendsKyle’s Cabin Weekends are weekend-long (Friday-Sunday) opportunities for our HIPster’s to stay at a fully furnished, four-bedroom house with their peers. Kyle’s Cabin provides our HIPster’s quality learning opportunities to develop their social and independent living skills with their peers. The house is staffed by My Possibilities Program staff with specific training to develop our HIPsters with important independent living skills.
MP Respite: Overnight is our newest program, this program is a One-Night stay at our Kyle’s Cabin Residential Home. This program will either be a Friday-Saturday or Sunday-Monday stay at our Kyle’s Cabin. This is a great starting point for HIPster’s who are interested in attending our full Kyle’s Cabin Weekends but are unsure about the long weekend. This program provides quality teaching moments while they are attending this one-night stay. The HIPster’s will learn to wash and fold their laundry, shop and cook for lunch and dinner and to make their own bed.
One-on-One Respite This program is here to help parents of a HIPster, who need a quality My Possibilities staff member to watch their HIPster for a couple of hours or several days.
These are weekly community outings put on by our Respite Program that are four to six-hour events including movie nights, Ladies Night Out, Guys Night Out, live sporting events, museum’s and zoo outings. These are fun evening events that HIPsters can attend and are chaperoned by My Possibilities staff.
